Character Concept - Aileen

Another small soldier for the cast. Literally the toughest little piece of fluff out there. Like Telethia, she’s a bright mind and focuses on combining magic and technology, but to a lesser extend. And since she isn’t a pure Feneris and lives outside their hidden groves, she doesn’t suffer from their rather strict laws. She’s slightly bigger than Telethia and Amelia, as result, too.

Shields were abandoned hundreds of years ago, given they were ineffectual against magic after physical projectile weapons were mostly phased out due to several issues, including ammo constrains and ease-of-use of magic over bows and crossbows. Now, Aileen, self-styling herself as the first of a new generation of knights, created a shield that is not only able to take massive punishment from both physical and magical origin, but also absorb said hits, dampening the impact and actually fueling them into its core, used for certain special moves such as a powerful shockwave that redirects magical attacks in its conal area of effect. All that, while being light to carry, and able to fold up (the “wings” to the sides can retract) making it somewhat easier to carry through narrow places. While just a conceptual piece of gear, she believes she can return the Knights to their former glory with it, and allow even non-mages to play a pivotal role in defending their allies.
